This shrike, photographed this August at Ruacana, Namibia, threw me and the birder I was with on my recent trip. I presume it is a juvenile Common Fiscal of the the western races 'Latakoo shrike'. But I'd be grateful if someone could confirm is as I haven't been able to find any illustrations of juveniles.

Hi Steve,

Certainly a young Common Fiscal of the race L. c. aridicolus, one of the races making up the group sometimes referred to as "Latakoo" Fiscal.

Cheers
Trevor
