Grand Canyon - October 2017 (1 Viewer)

Was looking through some photos from my trip to the Grand Canyon in October 2017, and got concerned I may have misidentified something. First photo I thought was a Mountain Chickadee, and second was a Red-breasted Nuthatch (may have been influenced by the WBN in the foreground). Looking at them now, they may be the same species or even the same bird! Both photos were taken on the South Rim two minutes apart.

What do you think? Thanks!

I think I may have been confused by the presence of this bird, which I think is a Red-breasted Nuthatch.

I've never seen a Mountain Chickadee but I gotta tell you that is a great image of the White-breasted Nuthatch!
