Brothers guilty of reckless disturbance of Northumberland wildlife sanctuary (RSPB) (1 Viewer)

Numpties!

Do you reckon they really WERE after winkles? Seems odd because there's a LOT of beaches and coastline up here where they could have quite easily have collected them from! :smoke:

Gill,

Not unless "winkles" are a local term used in the north east for something more valuable on the black market and possibly labelled "Class A" by our local law enforcement. A completely unfounded suggestion on my part though - maybe these guys didn't know they didn't need a boat to collect winkles? ;)

Just for the record you find winkles on rocks, not beaches. So if the offence took place on a beach the story was a load of scallops.
