Marina Bay starbucks -- what is this? (1 Viewer)

Hi!

This distinctive looking character is hanging around Marina Bay starbucks. Seen it there on two recent Saturdays. It appears quite old, quite lame, and quite tame. It also appears to be flightless, or close to it -- it semi climbs, semi flaps his way up the tree it sits in.

My brother (who has a PhD in zoology and is a life long birder) was competely stumped by it. However he lives in Europe so is perhaps not so familiar with the birds of this region!

I'm thinking an escapee, either a pet or from a zoo?
If anyone could identify it, it would be great to know!
