Strange Grey Wagtail Behaviour (1 Viewer)

A grey wagtail has been coming to our tiny garden this cold spell. It would appear to be an older bird (pale throat, yellower breast than 1st winter). It is extremely confiding, settling occasionally on the window-ledge and even the patio door-handles, occasionally tapping on the window. There are no water features in our garden, nor have we put out any unusual foods (just peanuts, oatmeal, niger and sunflower seeds, and apples). There are streams locally and grey wagtails are present, but I´ve never seen one in our garden. This particular bird doesn´t appear ill, it is quite active and flies readily - it just seems to think it´s a robin. Has anyone come across this before?

Perhaps it has become accustomed to be feed in a neighbour's garden, but your neighbours are away for Christmas?

We have a pied waggy in our garden. We live by woodland so its not a surprise to see them. But in terms of behaviour, they are far less wary than the other birds which are always there....or maybe because of. While the blackbirds run a mile the tits watch from a safe distance, the long tailed tits are not too fussed but the wagtail only flies onto the bungalow roof and watches and waits.
