Beech Tree (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

I planted a 7 ft Beech Tree in my garden in March this year, I was just wondering if anybody knows if it will produce flowers/beech mast in it's 1st year in the garden? Or does the tree need to mature.

The beech tree has shed nearly all of it's Autumn leaves and has grown numerous green leaves since being planted out, but I cannot see any flowers forming yet? Any ideas?

Hi Dale, I have to say that it is highly unlikely that your tree will start so soon in fact I think it will start after about twenty years if you are lucky.

There is a beech tree near my mum and dads that is just over 20 yrs and it still has shown no signs of flower/mast.
