What kind of tern? Plum Island, ME

I took this picture of a tern last fall. Other pictures show common terns but I am not sure about this one. The bill seems to be awfully big for one, although the dark carpal bar would fit.

This is a nice Common Tern. Notice the large bill, very obvious dark carpal bar, and dark primaries.
