any endemic?
one is about 2 inches long white/peach underside with light green/mottled grey back....stays at dorms next to ft. Gaines.
 
I'd like to see your pics, but that sounds like a member of the Hyla versicolor complex. Whether it would be versicolor or chrysoscelis there, I've no idea. The general common name for the group is Gray Treefrog.

Thanks for info...got lucky and found an local expert here...Cope's gray tree frog. Photos are only of undersides through glazed glass...the frogs stay on the window waiting for bugs and jump down to the small puddles made by the airconditioning window units. Interesting to hear how the frogs get to remote salt water barrier island.
