Female Carib Grackle? Martinique Dec 2014

These dusky birds were common and often seen around the more obvious all-black male grackles. When I took the photo I wondered if it was not a cross between the grackle and another species, but I now read that the Carib Grackle is sexually dimorphic so now think it is the female.

What distinguishes the Carib Grackle from the Greater Antillean Grackle? Other than where it is found?

Yes it is.

Greater Antillean Grackle averages slightly larger and has much less sexual dimorphism.
