Birds in Jacksonville, FL area in Nov (1 Viewer)

I moved here couple of months ago and been looking for birding hotspot. Love to take pictures. So far I could not find any spots with lots of birds. The best spot is Anastasia state park in St. Augustine.

Is there any other location around here? Is it too early for birds to arrive? I was expecting something like Ding-Darling in Ft. Myers.

Thanks in advance

Here in Birdforum there is a section that discusses birding in Florida:

Take a look there and perhaps pose your question there too.
Part of the problem is the time of the year as you surmised. The other is the kind of habitat available in the area. Anyway a great place for photography is Merritt Island NWR near Cape Canaveral (and also Titusville). It is a long drive for you but can be done (round trip) in a day, about 130 miles each way. Still much closer than Ding-Darling :). I live in Gainesville and I am not familiar with birding in the Jacksonville - St. Augustine area. Consult also the Florida Birding Trail website:
