Holotype: Colección de la División Paleontologia Vertebrados del Museo de La Plata No. 77-XII-22 right tarsometatarsus missing de trochlea for digitus IV.

Etymology: Cayaoa: Pato, en lengua aborigen Puelche;bruneti: como homenajea Rodolfo F .1. Brunet, inestimable colaborador en la busqueda de vertebrados fósiles, radicado en Puerto Madryn, Chubut.
