Despite it is a very old post, I would share some information about Madagascar Bird Tour
The best time for birdwatching is August to December.
Of course, you may see some birds if you come earlier from April to July if you are lucky enough.
Most of the site outside of the asphalted road are not accessible from January to March but the national park like Ankarafantsika, Andasibe, and Ranomafana are still accessible.
The indicative price for car rental is 50 euro per day with driver speaking English.
