New species for Opus (1 Viewer)

Why the difference? Is it due to photos in Opus that are not in the Gallery, so they cannot be linked to the Database?

Glen

The Database was out of action for quite a while Opus was launched so it fell way behind. Marmot has managed to bring it just about up to date but there's still 32 unaccounted. There's no easy way to locate the missing entries, it's down to trial and error checking each entry.

At least some of these are splits that we've accepted for opus, while the database is still stuck with Sibley and Monroe. (For instance, Oriental Reed Warbler.)

That's ironic considering that S&M was ridiculed for being split-happy when it was first published.

Thanks Niels and Glen - both updated :t:

Some splits have been added to the Database but not all of them. It's simple enough to add a new species to it.

I just added a photo of Stripe-headed Sparrow (Aimophila ruficauda) to the Gallery and Opus. That's the last new species for BF from my trip to Mexico.
