Anyone notice this article in yesterday's 'paper?

Nothing very new to be honest, though I was a bit distressed to see Songbird Survival given column inches in the Guardian. Sometimes journalism can be too balanced |:p|

I agree they shouldn't be given column inches

I'm all for freedom of speech when it comes to politics and religion etc, but in the field of conservation an organisation whose beliefs disregard basic science does not deserve to be quoted. Its the equivalent of an organisation that believes smoking is good for you. Would they be quoted? I doubt it.

John before you set fire to your copy of The Times read the original report with an open mind. At the very least its thought provoking even if you like me do not agree with all its suggestions.
