Recently I have been seeing a lot of American Crow Fledglings and Western Scrubjay's Fledglings. And I have been noticing that the birds are like almost sanding their beeks on the bird bath or the tree. I have never seen this done before by them and was curious as to why they did so. Does anybody here know why they do that? I'm not sure if sanding is the right word or if they do peck their beeks on the bird bath or tree branch. I hope someone understands what i'm talking about. Thank you.
