Am i doing something wrong i am shooting in Raw but the size is restricted to 14.3MB where as before the size was18.7MB, any advice appreciated.

What camera body? have you chosen compressed for quality (which is apparently a lossless algorithm), this will reduce the image size
 
Hi Steve,

I have the Nikon D300 and found on checking it was set to lossless compressed i have now altered that to uncompressed.

Are there any other settings i need to set as standard?
