Hello Everyone,

I am looking for a 10x42 and would really want the SE but at $ 900.- a little steep (I have SE 8x32). Called CameralandNY about their SE for $ 500.- (almost do-able), but the warranty is only 90 days and that scared me off.

So...I have it narrowed down to the Bushnell Discoverer or the Olympus Magellan and would love to hear from you to learn what you think. Thank you for your time and effort. Paula

From what I understand Nikon has a "No Fault" repair policy that would cover most problems for a very nominal fee, something like $15 + shipping. This goes into effect after the warranty period runs out. I used the service twice and was quite satisfied, even though I was not the original buyer in either case. Personally, I wouldn't sacrifice the quality of an SE given this policy.

Just an opinion.

Blue skies,
Ed
