Sitting on a windscreen wiper, pub car park! I’m not a birder, but I’d like to know what it is. I didn’t disturb it (other than taking a flash photo!). TIA

Yep, a juvenile Red-legged Partridge, likely recently released from a game shooting estate :)storm:); young ones have duller, paler legs than adults.
