Sitting on a windscreen wiper, pub car park! I’m not a birder, but I’d like to know what it is. I didn’t disturb it (other than taking a flash photo!). TIA

Thank you guys. That was the closest I could get to a match too, but I thought the tail looked too long and legs too not-red!

Yep, a juvenile Red-legged Partridge, likely recently released from a game shooting estate storm; young ones have duller, paler legs than adults.
