‘Research – The ‘Cutting Edge’ of Wildlife Rehabilitation’
This year’s Symposium of the Wildlife Rehabilitation Coalition will be held at Writtle College near Chelmsford, Essex on Saturday 21 November 2009 with the theme of scientific research into wildlife rehabilitation.
Alongside professional rehabilitators and research scientists, students in further, higher and post-graduate education are invited to report on research projects related to wildlife rehabilitation – either by verbal or poster presentation.
We are pleased to announce that speakers this year will include
Conservation Officer for the Hawk and Owl Trust Chris Sperring MBE describing his work for the Trust
co-editor of the BSAVA Manual of Wildlife Rehabilitation Elizabeth Mullineaux describing work from her thesis on rehabilitation of badgers in the UK, and
Chief Scientific Officer for the Hawk Conservancy Campbell Murn describing his study on the effects of visitors to a wild raptor hospital.
