Hi, Can you please help me identify these birds seen 30 mins north of Panama City?
a+b) Pretty bird, maybe flycatcher? Can't see it in my book!
c) Small bird, looked completely black but kept sitting in the twigs.
d) Sang for hours this morning but very back lit and in the twigs again... any suggestions?
e) Seen eating a flower.... but I could not see the head properly

Thanks for your help.

I've never been but 3 could be a Blueblack Grassquit and 5 Crimson Breasted Tanager? Just trying to get the ball rolling. http://www.pbase.com/stevemetz/panama shows quite a few birds of Panama and there are plenty of other sites to look at as well. Just search for panama bird pictures.

1-2 Buff-throated Saltator
3 Blue-black Grassquit
4 it is a thrush, difficult to say which one. Jizz looks good for an Orange-billed Nightingale-Thrush but the colours, if real, aren't convincing. Maybe it's just a Clay-colored Thrush...
5 Crimson-backed Tanager
