Comana Wetland - a new look for the `Delta near Bucharest` (1 Viewer)

I have paid a visit to Comana, first time after the finalization of an extensive govt project aiming to restore natural balance in the wetland near Comana - second wetland in Romania in terms of surface, after Danube Delta, and just 30 km south of Bucharest.
Things look good, the water flooded what used to be some sort of pasture land with soccer goals. The birds have taken over, migration is very intense as we speak.
Unfortunately I had a lousy weather, with heavy rain, preventing me from taking more pictures. I succeeded in taking just a couple of shorebird photos, you can see them here:

Beside shorebirds like Redshanks (incl. Spotted), Greenshanks, B-T Godwits, Ruffs, B-W Stilts, Lapwings and L-R Plovers, there were loads of waterfowl: Garganeys, Shovelers, Mallards, Wigeons, Gadwalls, Pochards.

I will keep visiting the place to make sure it is back in business for good.
