Some amazing footage I've just discovered of a captive female Northern Goshawk put through it's paces manoeuvring through all manner of tiny gaps at speed: "Goshawk Flies Through Tiny Spaces in Slo-Mo! - The Animal's Guide to Britain, Episode 3 - BBC Two". The abilities are really quite remarkable. Behaviour that I would have attributed more to Sprawks (and males at that) as shown on one of the Attenborough documentaries, rather than larger Northern Goshawks.

Hi Chosun,

A Northern Goshawk once discovered a way to get into a warehouse here in Hamburg. My colleagues at the location were extremely impressed by the Goshawk flying along the length of the hall through the wooden rafters (to clear the high-rise racks), which required him to pass through a small hole every few meters! The bird did so without losing a single wing beat :)

Regards,

Henning
