Drongos, Tadoba NP, Maharashtra, India. Feb 2020 (1 Viewer)

These pictures were taken of 2 Drongo species in a tree (with a Chestnut-shouldered Petronia). The main purpose was to show the White-breasted Drongo, lowest down, but on review I am wondering if the higher up Drongo is an Ashy Drongo of the darker Indian race rather than the Black Drongo we put it down as at the time.

The bird appears to have red eyes and no rictal spot. the underparts look to be different to the rest of the bird, ie not glossy. I realise this could all be photographic illusion as great detail isnt possible from the photos but wonder what others may think.

I agree with your conclusion but you mean White-bellied Drongo I believe.
