Image numbering on D200 (1 Viewer)

Is there a way to number the images consecutively on the D200? Every time I delete images or format my card, the numbering starts from 1 again. On my previous camera, Minolta 7D, I could do it through the menu but so far I can't find how to do it on my Nikon. Am I missing something obvious?

Hello, I had the same inconvenience with my D70S. The D70S has an option under the setup menu: consecutive numbering on or off. From what I saw on the Nikonians.org forum, the D200 has a 'custom setting D6', choose file number sequence. If you switch it on, you should be ok. Good luck, Mattijs

Thanks Mattijs, I'll give that a try. :t:
