    Verreaux's eagle owl, also known as Giant eagle owl. This is the biggest owl in Africa and fourth biggest in the world, measuring up to 66cm, 26in in length, with a wingspan up to 5 feet, 1.5 mtrs. They are nocturnal and roost by day in large shady trees.
