duck identification

    Duck Identification in Round Valley Reservoir, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, USA - Photos taken on 10/27/24

    I was photographing some waterbirds far off on the water and saw some classic ducks like mallards and Canada geese but was not sure what some of the others were. Can anyone help me ID these waterfowl? I will list some images of them below.

    What bird/duck is this? New Hampshire, USA

    I saw this duck with a large group of mallards and a couple of American Black Ducks. The duck I am having trouble identifying is the black one with the white breast/chest. Is it some sort of hybrid/sub species?
