    took about 300 pictures of a small group of Forster's as they fed on minnows congregating in the boil of an open sluice gate. more pictures in my blog www.limeybirder.com

    the splash was caused by the female, who is just out of frame, as she took to the air. a second later the male followed but my I only captured half of him in my next shot. They were 10 feet from me as I glided by on the Wakulla River. To see more of my pictures please visit my website...

    this very obliging Horned Grebe was feeding close to an oyster bar and was very unconcerned that I was so close. I sat down quietly and took many pictures (handheld) as it swam up and down alongside the oyster bar chasing bait fish.
