    Lifer for me. Didn't know what it was but ID forum ID's it as a Goshawk. First one I have ever seen or photographed. It was in a tree across the road from our yard. Unfortunately I shot this through a window as I didn't want to scare it off, got a few shots in but it took flight a few seconds...

    Very unusual to see one this far North in the dead of winter. They usually go South for the winter and don't come back until spring. We have been having a very mild winter this time so maybe that has a bearing on it.

    Have about a dozen of these birds that come into the yard almost daily. KC, if you see this and to answer your question, I usually hit a slump this time of year. The light gets short lived and terrible. There's a large hill just behind our house on the West side, so this time of year it starts...
