    Almost endemic to the coast of peru. Inhabits desert-like scrub, agricultural areas with scattered trees.

    I notice that there is no picture of a male in the database, so thought I would post this.

    This bird was about 40 yards down the hill. I thought it was an Ammodramus, but turns out to be an out-of range female Poospiza hispaniolensis. This was at an elevation of about 2700 meters, outside of Gualaceo, Ecuador.
