    Third shot of one of a pair of juvies who were nice enough to let me take a lot of pictures. I got about 50 shots of them before they finally flew away when I got out of the car.

    Swainson's Hawk-Light Phase Juvenile

    Coming out of the Rockies I came upon a pair of juvenile hawks sitting on consecutive fence posts. They stayed there when I stopped and gave me shots of their back, front and side......very accomodating. The coloring was quite striking and very different from the full adults.
