    These Swallow chicks had been placed in the bullrushes amid the reeds by a wildlife pond,for their own safety-lots of overhead Herons!!!

    I really do like this shot.The 1st I have taken from this angle showing the rear plumage ,as such. They had followed their parents to the river ,along with a couple more of their siblings,and they all perched very patiently on the ladders and guy ropes waiting to be fed.
