Our Sunday trip that week was into Glen Moy, one of the Angus glens, One of our favourites, as it attracts less visitors than some of the more well known ones. Right at the top, as far as you can go by road, we park up near a river. An old fence on the other side of the road attracted a Mistle...

A bit further along the Tullymurdoch road from the swallow, we pulled into a gateway to have a scan about. And there on a fence post was a Mistle Thrush. Ken's side of the car so he took the picture for me.

Back in Wallasey I was only doing short walks in between long waits in the phone queue trying to track down my still missing luggage. In the end, I did get it back -- 4 days after I arrived home again. I won't bother you any more with that long story. Meanwhile, I did get to Vale Park a couple...

I'd been hearing Mistle Thrushes around but this was the first time I'd actually found one... up in my neighbour's tree. So a first of the season for me. Plenty of berries for them round about too, so I guess they'll hang on for a bit. TTTW

The autumnal colours are reflected in the birds as well I think. It really was a lovely sight seeing these two sitting so close together with the autumn leaves and fruits. BTW the Gallery Search is not working properly at the moment and is only picking up items in the Tags field (the luggage...

There'd been a Mistle Thrush around for about a week at this point but I'd really struggled to get a picture. That morning he was kind enough to sit at the top of my neighbour's tree! Unfortunately there was a lumpy twig in front of him, looking like he'd got a growth on his head.... but I've...

Whilst waiting for the Spotted Flycatcher to return one of a family of Mistle Thrushes appeared on the same perch, which was nice. I think I counted 5 there, this one looks like one of the youngsters
