    This is a bird of paradise. The male is jet-black, and conditions were so dark I couldn't get a decent image of him. Next year we're going back in the display season and should get some photos. They readily come close to be fed fruit.

    This male was our first ever Bird of Paradise, hope to add many more one day!We were lucky enough to witness the male performing his display too , although the light was too bad for a photo.
