    This guy, Terek Sandpiper (Xenus cinereus) 翹嘴鷸 sure can run fast. Filmed at Sarawak's coastal, Malaysian Borneo during last winter migratory season.

    These waders had to be digiscoped as they were over 100 meters away in marginal light.

    This is my mum holding a newly flagged Terek Sandpiper. The yellow flag indicates it was banded in North-West Australia and the engraving is designed to be visible through scopes - so an individual can be tracked without needing to be recaptured. Photo by Rob Gegg.

    there were about 100 Terek Sandpipers in the main scrape at Mai Po yesterday. They were the last to leave for feeding when the tide had dropped.
