Thought I would have a little fun with a digi-scope comparison between my Nikon Fieldscope III 60mm and my friend's newer Kowa 82mm.
Here are the results of the photos. Surprisingly, to me anyway, other than the much better eyepiece on the Kowa, detail was probably slightly better on the Nikon. Overall the experience with the Kowa was better, but it was less clear than you'd think.
First two are the Kowa and second 2 are the Nikon both at about 10-15 from the waxbills.
