I saw one of these on my humming bird feeder,he stayed for a few days
have not seen him this week. do they come this far north?

First let me say hello and welcome from the staff and moderators.

I would seriously doubt if you saw an Altamira Oriole that far north. How about a Hooded Oriole instead?

Where exactly northeast are you? I would be surprised to get an Altamira or a Hooded in the northeast. A Baltimore, yes.

Orchard or Baltimore Orioles are the most likely in NE TX. Altimira tends to stay in the Rio Grande Valley, and Hooded is very local in Corpus Christi and west from there.

Saw this in the back yard this morning. Think it is a Altamira oriole. New to forum.
Yesterday sent in my lens for repair and grabbed an auto focus Canon sd550 which first focused on the window and then a block post before he flew away. Living in Queen Creek AZ about 30 miles SE of Phoenix. So What do you all think?

Chris

From what I can see (black tail, white shoulder patch), I think you have a Hooded Oriole.

Altamira Oriole is found only in southern Texas if you want to see it within the USA and is not known to wander.
