Backyard Sparrows - Edmonton, AB, Canada (1 Viewer)

All these sparrows were photographed in my backyard within the last three weeks.

1) Chipping Sparrow? Originally thought it was a house sparrow at the feeder, but thinking Chipping after looking in my bird book.

2) Vesper Sparrow? Really pretty unsure on this one. There's a number in the book that look very similar.

3) White-crowned Sparrow? Fairly uncertain on this one as well, but with the pale, unstreaked belly and the white stripes on his head, I'm thinking white-crowned.

4) White-throated Sparrow? This is the one I'm most certain on and one of the most common visitors to my backyard along with dark-eyed juncos, house finches, chickadees and redpolls. Mostly included it so that I can be right on at least one of my guesses!

Agree on the Chipping and White-throated Sparrow, not familiar with the others. And you´re right Adam, the white throath and the yellow above the eye makes this species unmistakable.
