Hey there,
I want to take pictures of birds in the hand to document the moult or certain features...which Canon lens would you recommend?

CANON RF 35MM F/1.8 IS STM MACRO
Very Cheap. 35mm is for crop camera.

On full frame 60mm is maximum. Distance is so you can hold the birds yourself.
