Big beetle, Andalucia, Spain (1 Viewer)

I believe this is a beetle of some sort but I'm afraid my ignorance knows no bounds! Taken in Mijas, southern Spain in late April. About 3cm long from memory and fluorescent green sticks in my mind. Any help in identifying it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi
I'm not a beetle specialist but have also seen this particular beetle, in the Balearic Islands.
I believe it is Chalcophora mariana massiliensis (Villers 1789), a buprestid that is sometimes called the Flatheaded pine borer.

Wow! A great name indeed. After searching through various websites and photos I could immediately see that it is a 'Pine Borer' type but I had trouble finding an exact match re subspecies level but I did finally find an image that looked just like mine. Thank you for your help.
