I think the most galling things about this is that the increase is on monitored British Sovereign land, thus rubbing it into the UK and Birdlife that we ( Cypriots ) will continue to practice a heritage tradition despite " interfering " opposition. And that the officers used are Cypriot nationals ( so as not to upset the locals ).
It's been suggested for several years that a reduction in EU grants and cessation of UK companies offering holiday packages to the island would send a strong message and hit them financially. But that won't happen, so it goes on all over the island, funded by criminals.
