Bird skull ID query (1 Viewer)

Can anybody help identify this bird skull found in grass/marshland in Snowdonia, UK? Feathers are reddish brown - 10p piece for scale. Thanks very much!

Looks to be a decent size. Top portion of bill missing?
Not sure if can be certain of feather colour with weathering etc.
Carrion crow maybe?

I initially thought crow but wasn’t sure with the feather colour but yes it could have changed with time. Yes the top portion of the bill was missing. It is quite a big skull. Thanks for your help
