Hello I have a question please, are blue tits in the UK nesting late this year? We have a pair just started to build a nest in our box

Hi Starkie and a warm welcome to you from all the Staff and Moderators. Sorry, I can't help with your question, as I don't have a nest box. I'll move your post to the Garden Birds forum area, as that's where you more likely to meet people who can better answer your questions.
I'm not sure where in the UK you are, up here we're a few weeks later than down in the south. I'm seeing a few less Blue Tits at the feeders lately, so presume the females are busy with nest duties.

We have two blue tit nest boxes and they are nesting more or less the same time as usual. The box with the camera in shows they started nest building three weeks or so ago, and currently there is a clutch of ten eggs in there.

Mine have nested and have week old babies. So it’s early I think.
