Bresser / Meade - same company? (1 Viewer)

Why I ask is cos I see in a description for a Bresser scope they accidentally call it a condor... which is a meade scope.

I can find the meade official site, but not one for bresser.

what's the story?

also, I wondered which of the following is the latest product:

Bresser Safari 15-45x60
£99.00

or

Condor Spotting Scope 20-60x60
£139.00

I have a suspicion that one is a replacement for the other, but i could be wrong.

help please!

Bunny,

AFAIK Bresser is a brand name owned by Meade Europe, see here: http://www.meade.de/en/products/marken/bresser.html

It would seem so, Bunny...the Bresser bins sold occasionally in Lidl here have Meade printed on the info leaflet, but Bresser printed on the bag. I´d be inclined to stay well clear of them for birding, although I´ve bought a couple for the bags, and have never seen their scopes. BTW, do you still use your trusty green Leica Ultravid 10x42, or did you sell them? (When was that? Couple of years ago?):t:
