Carlsbad Caverns NP - request bird ID please (1 Viewer)

I am making a record of bird sightings in the USA and would value some help from a birder in NM
On a visit to Carlsbad Caverns in May 2013 I noted " swift sp. dark above , pale below , at 2pm at cave entrance"
Is Chimney Swift the likely ID? I ask because the NPS bird list states this bird is Occasional in Spring?
Is any othe swift sp more likely?

Interesting ; I have decent eyesight and I think I would have noticed if the underparts were 2 tone rather than uniform?
They are predominantly white on the underparts, so it fits your description. Assuming it was definitely a Swift and definitely had extensive white underneath, White-throated is really the only likely option.
