For 3 days, I watched a pair of Carolina Wrens busily building a nest, or maybe 2, in one or both of the hanging fern baskets just outside our front door. Today, there's no sign of them. We used a side door so as not to disturb them, but vanished? Yhe nearby door quietly last night... any insight as to why they've both vsnished?

Hi Nura, and welcome to the forum on behalf of the staff and moderators. I think you will find us a friendly group. I am at a loss as to why both of them have vanished like that. They do build multiple nests before deciding on one to use, hopefully they chose one of their other ones.
