The crested pigeon is a very pretty bird that inhabits Western Australia from the northern Pilbara region and down to Perth.
This photo below I took in my own garden in Perth. The birds have been moving further south because of hot weather due to climate change.

This morning it was reported on the ABC that a famous snake catcher in Mt Tom Price was called to a property out there to remove a large Olive python from someone's roof where the snake was seen eating a crested pigeon.

The snake catcher said he let it finish it's meal before he removed it from the property.
I phoned him this morning to seek his approval to use these two photos he had taken at the house.

Now I have to include this photo of an eighteen foot Olive Python in Katherine Gorge Northern Territory, using it's incredible strength to pull a drowned kangaroo out of the water.
Incredibly the snake completed this feat and subsequently devoured it's meal on that ledge.
