This gull confuses me a bit. Dark eye -suggests Yellow-Legged? Why can't you see the mirror? Poland Podhale September 27.

Hello Michal,

main reason to comment is to bump your interesting gull up.

It has growing outer primaries, explaining the lack of large mirrors.

In image 8040 you see a growing p9? I looked at the pictures several times now, and still struggle to see, if the last black band is on p5 or p6, mainly due to the lack of 1 or 2 outer primaries.
I get a Caspian Gull vibe here, and I would expect a Herring Gull to show much more head streaking at the end of September (most intense/pronounced from September to November).

If p10 is missing (nearly) completly, the primary pattern including white spots between the black and grey is good for a Caspian Gull.
And although difficult to judge, appearant fleshy-yellow legs are good too (many adult YLG should have clear judgeable yellow legs here?)

But as always thanks!
