Dark martin sp in Salou (1 Viewer)

Gareth in Beverley
Hi,
I was in Salou last week and while driving along the sea front one morning I noticed several dark martins flying around. They seemed like Crag or Rock Martins but we were in the middle of the resort with hotel/apartment buildings all around. I couldn't stop to get a good look unfortunately.

Are either of these species known to hang out on the front at Salou or are they more likely to have been passing through, in which case I might have to just put them down as "martin sp."?

Thanks,
Gareth

I've seen wintering Crag Martins in Granada town centre and San Pedro del Pinitar where they use high rise buildings as artificial crags - so can't see any reason they they shouldn't be in Salou.

It'd be helpful if you told us where exactly Salou is - it's not a place name that registers with me. Having looked it up on GoogleEarth I find there's one in northern Spain, which is the one I assume you mean, but there's another in Guinea,
John

I believe Salou is a resort not a million miles from Barcelona (foggy memory but i think friends went years ago)
