DFW Bird Sighting (1 Viewer)

This bird appeared this afternoon on our backyard fence. It appears to me to be a homing pigeon but I can't be sure. It is banded on its right leg. It landed on our fence and stayed there for quite some time before flying away. It appeared to be disoriented. Can someone help identify this bird. We have never seen this type bird before.

Thanks so much!
Tony
