Don't know if anyones tried this before but i bought a 16" Alluminium Wok Lid off Ebay and to cut a long story short, i stuck a normal cheapo microphone into it with BluTac and was amazed that it actually enhanced the sound of an Owl approx 1ml away:eek!:
Can anyone recomend any sites with more details on DIY Parabolic mics?

ps i sprayed the Wok lid inside and out with satin black paint and it seemed to make it clearer? all very interesting stuff and great fun
